Information We Collect
Solar Basics uses your device’s location information only while the app is running to calculate and display astronomical data such as sunrise, sunset, and transit times, as well as to show local weather.
- Astronomical times are calculated on your device.
- To show the weather forecast, the app sends your location coordinates to Apple Weather (WeatherKit). To show your place name (for example, a city), your device’s built-in location service (Apple on iOS, Google on Android) looks up the coordinates.
- Small Cat Labs never receives, stores, or logs your location, and it is not used for tracking or advertising.
- The app does not collect, track, or log any personal information.
- The app does not use analytics tools, advertising SDKs, or any third-party tracking services.
Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or otherwise disclose any information to third parties. The location lookups described above go directly from your device to those services so the app can work.
Children’s Privacy
The app is intended for general use and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
